What would happen if we could turn the clock back? Would we really change things? For the better? The worse? When I reflect on my life, the first thoughts that come into my mind are not, “If only I could go back and change this or that…” The memories that come directly to the forefront are those that highlight the ways in which I’ve seen God work in my life through the turbulence and storms. I wouldn’t be the person that I am today without my past. And my past is what it is because of who God is. Why would I want to change that? If I were to tell my story, and I have, people might wonder what I would change if it was, in fact, possible to do so. My answer, always, is nothing. The reason: because I would be changing what God has done and I don’t want to do that, not even a little bit. God can do anything and what He has chosen to do in my life is what makes me beautiful and unique. The scars that I bear are evidence of healing and there is not a single thing, not a single moment that I would change about my life because I know that what God has done has been rightly done.
In our present day “cancel culture” world, anything and anyone that does not fall into step with the radical left agenda is up for being crossed off – canceled. If I don’t express the appropriate amount of angst over the circumstances of my own history, let alone over the ideologies that society holds up as being worthy of an overwhelming amount of angst such as: transgender rights, “wokeness”, systemic racism (which isn’t even a thing unless you make it a thing by revising and manipulating truth which is exactly what CRT, BLM and others are doing – successfully, by the way), “racist” rocks on college campuses, “whiteness”, use or misuse of transgender pronouns… the list can and does go on and on; well, that alone could call for my cancellation.
I have a great deal of concern over babies being murdered in the womb, but that won’t earn me any brownie points with the left. I believe it to be entirely wrong for transgender boys to compete against girls in sports, but that won’t win me any accolades. I think that letting illegal aliens into the country unchecked is dangerous, but that won’t win me any popularity contests. Truth, biblical truth, has always been unpopular and will become even more so as society continues in its downward spiral. But God can’t be canceled. Truth can’t be canceled. In the darkness, the light shines ever brighter! And God has already won the war. It’s over. The battles we need to fight, however, rage on. And let us not grow weary. And let us always remember that God has overcome the world. He has won!
Bullying and intimidation – however inappropriate these behaviors are when utilized against minors – receive no condemnation when applied with force and prejudice against adults. What’s worse is that they’re applauded by many and somehow justified – even excused by the President of the United States. The radical left has people running scared. They are taking their agenda to the streets and no one is safe from their tantrums. Is this really the way we want to be governed? Make no mistake, our government is engaging in and encouraging this type of behavior.
I am a woman, but maybe not for long. The radical left is working tirelessly to cancel the words women and woman. Mom and Dad? Nope, not anymore. Now it’s just parenting. Pregnant woman? Nope, not any more. Now, you’re just a pregnant person. Breastfeeding? Nope, not anymore. Now, it’s chest feeding – don’t want to leave those misunderstood transgender men out in the cold. Culturally, pregnancy and nursing are no longer the exclusive, God-given province of women. Not convinced, take a look at this:

God created two sexes – male and female. He did not create gender. Sex and gender are not interchangeable and do not mean the same thing. Once again, the left wing radicals have done an amazing job at virtually erasing biological sex and replacing it with gender identity by stripping biological sex of its divine origins and redefining it as simply another societal construct. Nothing more. And if we are nothing more than what we “identify” as, then God truly has no place in our world or our lives and; as such, that nasty and annoyingly sticky concept of sin, bears no more weight on us than a feather would. Not a bad place to be or belief system to hold if you like the idea of spending your eternity in hell.
Lets keep our heads, our hearts and our feet all pointed in the same direction – toward Home.
“you step into the road, and, if you don’t keep your feet, there’s no telling where you might be swept off to.”
